Another game where we totally controlled at least 85 per cent of possession and bossed the game .We scored early a great volley from Josh walker and two minutes later Josh w scored again and we never looked back .We then went three up with a outstanding over head kick from josh Beamond. We pressed high and football first half was exceptional against a team who never downed tools and ran for everything.Second half we went two a 3-4-3 again to stop there goalie playing out from the back and then they kept playing it longer and played into our hands .Jack Tolley won and converted our fourth from the penalty spot and Charlie Barnett headed in our fourth thenJosh walker scored from long range to complete is hatrick .We are now back to our absolute best not only in training which is quality but ripping teams apart with quick slick passing from defence to attack .Our fifth clean sheet out of six with a outstanding double save from Will Cox to keep that record at bay .But a special mention to Charlie Barnett ,Cairon Fallon and Mikey Hayes who run the man of match close today and all three top class defending ..Today’s man of the match was Josh Walker not only for his quality hatrick but all round play defending and tracking back was outstanding. So 30 goals in five games and five clean sheets is a phenomenal run .I said after the Hednesford game we could go ten games unbeaten and was laughed at but 6 down and four to go .The ref mark Kelly also complimented our team today saying it’s the best squad we’ve had in 6 years so nice to hear .So move on to Hednesford next week and hopefully settle a sore and try and move into top six.
First report for 2020
Shifnal Harriers 3 Shifnal Town 0.
Cup semi final played in difficult blustery conditions
Always going to be a difficult game against a good harriers side with a full squad unfortunately we were left with just 110-0 half time
Second half always going to be difficult against the wind and it proved that with our keeper pulling of some superb saves but eventually harriers scored and doubled their lead with a great finish lobbing our keeper
3rd goal right on final whistle
Really proud of the 11 that played
Wishing our lovely U7s coach a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We all hope you have a fantastic day. Love from all us parents and this amazing little team.
U8 blues doing Shifnal proud against Walsall academy tonight.

Hi all managers report.
St Andrews u16s 0 Shifnal Town u16 2
Today’s opponents was 12th in the league but I can’t remember a shot on goal by them .I feel for lads and parents because we have only been at home 3 times this season and today’s pitch was shocking .We dominated the fist half and passed well on the cowfeild .We had 5 chances and converted 2 .The first was a good curled finish by Morgan Payne and the second was a excellent one on one finish by Josh beamond to continue Is fine scoring streak .Second half in swirling windy conditions we defended as a team and unit and showed why we have conceded the 2nd least goals in the league. We still had more chances Jack tolley went through and scored but was disallowed by a cheating linesman then Josh walker had a great shot come back off post .Games like these please me the most because in good weather and great surfaces we are usually superior because of our quality of football play .But today we played good football.Weathered the storm and showed another side of our play .Grit determination and never say die attitude.Ciaran Fallon was my man of the match and had been knocking on the door for weeks great tackling ,talking and reading of the game and is now shining in the middle of the defence .So four wins another clean sheet and top ten beckons .But one game at a time and now have the quality of Jack Tolley back and another good player adding next week to our quality squad .Im extremely happy the same has the lads superb and keep it boys.
Next week cs colts at acoustafoam stadium.

Shifnal Town u16s 3 Wallsall u16s 0
We carried on from last week with pressing from the front and football 1st hslf today was excellent again .We played a team 18 places above us and they never had a shot on goal .Which was a testament to will cox ciaran fallon Charlie Barnett who talked and led us from the back .Mikey started well also but went off injured after 20 minutes.Josh Beamond’s twenty pass put defender in trouble and jake smith scored after 9 minutes .A corner late on by Morgan and josh b finished it well to make it 2-0 .Which was fully deserved .2nd half there no 9 was put further back judt to break up play any way he could and wasn’t nice to watch .This unsettled our football for 15 minutes but scored again through Ernest amoo to make it 3-0 .Jack Howse was excellent again slipping back in to a third centre half 2nd half effortless and Morgan drove us on in midfield but Jake took last weeks performance into today’s and was outstanding. He scored early run his socks off and slipped back into cam and won endless tackles.Josh beamond also is a pleasure to watch coach or not I would watch him all day long Loads of encouraging and working and fighting for each other and now move up the league a lot .Still lots to improve but the football we produce makes me proud .Nuneaton away next week
Very proud of my U12s team today outstanding performance against a team in a league higher than us.
Shifnal Town U10 blues celebrating winning a penalty shootout in against a very strong Albrighton Blacks side in the quarter finals.
Shame there had to be a loosing side today after both sets of players played their hearts out
These lads have come on leaps and bounds this season
Well done boys ⚽️⚽️
Well done Shifnal U8’s, the come back Kings, 2-0 down and win 5-3. Never give up.
Massive thank you to Richard Bleakleyfor sponsoring Shifnal town U7s new tracksuits!
They look amazing
Burntwood u16s 1 Shifnal Town 5
This scoreline today hasn’t surprised one bit .Luckily we have created double figure chances for several weeks now and the opposition having one again today and finishing it .Today we finished them hit the bar and another certain penalty not given which they scored off .We started fast and eventually scored with debutant josh beamond scoring excellenty from Jakes assist .We then conceded off the penalty decision which was disappointing has the ball travelled 80 metres with two mistakes along the way .Second hslf we upped the intensity and work rate and wanted it more .Birthdsy boy Charlie B breaking through and a great cross and brilliant header by jack howse .Josh B then hit the bar from 30 yards and then put us 3-1 up .Charlie C then headed home from jake assist and jake scored a good finish late on Will and the back three of Charlie B ciaran and mikey set the tone winning the first balls and aggressive in the tackle.Jack howse absolute quality again .The front three was outstanding Jakes endless running and numerous tackles and pressing fed the unique talent of josh beamond who looked outstanding.Charlie Carvell covered every blade of grass yet again and worked so hard for the team again .I won’t get carried away because it’s only three points but we climbed 10 places in the league but I trust and believe every one of my players and the most pleasing aspect today was encouraging each other ,working for each other and coming of with a smile on there faces which obviously helped by winning .So let’s train hard go again v wallsall next week .Man of match today was the whole team
A great Christmas win for these boys today and Curtis our man of the match ❤️❤️
Also a massive thank you to the boys, parents and everyone who has supported the boys these last few months,

Shifnal Town u16s 1 Telford Utd u16s 1
Managers Match Report.
The first half today was totally unacceptable from my side. I took full responsibility for last weeks loss against an outstanding team in Boldmere but will not for today.
Michael Hayes slipped in defence and Telford went in at the interval with a 1-0 lead. Will Cox saving from the same player late on or it could have been worse.
People can blame the pitch, the weather, the formation, the tactics or the Manager, but sometimes it’s just not good enough from the players and there’s no more excuses.Today was a derby and if you can’t play from the heart and with passion then something is wrong.
With words at half time the second half we bossed from start to finish, passed the ball better in terrible conditions and Telford couldn’t clear there lines. Introducing James Pritchard who was excellent and Jacob Welch gave us that quality on the ball we badly needed.
We camped in their half and inevitably broke through with a Jack Howse header. Morgan Payne drove us on and carried the ball well and was my man of the match Closely followed by Charlie Barnett who continues to play in several positions and never moans and always gives 100 per cent.
Also a thank you to Ciaran Fallon who played with a strapped up fingers and was superb.
Today’s pitch was small and weather conditions were terrible which proved a leveller and I’m certain if we would have played at Phoenix Park there would only have been one winner. But all of us were desperate for the game to go ahead.
Thanks boys for showing great character and nearly getting the result we wished for.
Boldmere u16s 1 – Shifnal Town u16s 0.
Managers match report.
Todays opponents are 2nd in the league and are a very good side. Football wise they were excellent and with no excuses from our injury ravaged side we couldn’t make any changes.
I have massive respect for the 11 lads today, they put there bodies on the line but couldn’t hold out with Boldmere scoring with 13 minutes to go from a Shifnal mistake.
Boldmere played through their no 2 in the first half but we changed to a 3-5-2 for the second half and Jake Smith nullified his play. They played it long well into the channels and caused us problems.
Morgan Payne and Micheal Hayes did well and my man of the match was Will Cox who was outstanding and played beyond his years again. He made numerous saves and was truly superb.
Ive had hundreds of views on how bad we were today and my mistakes which 💯 I will take on chin and listen to everyone’s views, but We have seen the the worst decision this season with 5 minutes to go when their goalkeeper took out Charlie Carvell who was through on goal. The goalkeeper admitting it was a stone waller and every person in the ground saying it was a penalty.
We could have came away with a point against a team who will be in the top two and should have been celebrating an excellent point.
Ive said this before, most teams in the premier league play like we did today and soak up pressure and try and break / counter attack.
So we train Tuesday and move on to our local rivals Telford on Saturday and take our first loss of the season like men and no excuses.
See everyone Tuesday
Shifnal Town u14s 1 Admaston 1
A hard fought draw today with both defences not giving the forwards many chances
We went 1 down late on in the game having lost the ball trying to push for a goal of our own
We equalised shortly afterwards with Charlie breaking down the right riding a couple of challenges and firing the ball across the area forcing an own goal
Admaston had a couple of good chances near the end of the game but fortunately for us couldn’t convert them In the end a well deserved point for the boys.
Best performance of the season today by the U12s with a 9-1 win , we played some outstanding football at times and every player worked very hard indeed ….pleasing day.
Hereford FC u16 0 – 3 Shifnal Town u16
Managers Match Report
Today’s match was marred for two reasons.
Firstly one of the opposition players, a 15 year old boy devastatingly died in his sleep last week. Bravely the Hereford players wanted to for fill the fixture in his memory. All at Shifnal Town send our condolences to Hereford FC and the players friends and family.
Then, on the 24th minute of the game we lost Josh Walker to a serious knee injury. Josh has been with me for 8 years and he is a great lad. Get well soon Josh from all at the club.
This means we suffered injuries to Jacob last week and Josh this week which is a big blow to our midfield.
After the long interruption waiting for paramedics to attend to Josh, I brought on James Pritchard on the right and he injected us with great energy and pace.
We scored off a Ben Jones free kick converted by a good Jack Howse header.
We had missed three clear headers before so i was pleased when Ben found Jack who is consistently good in the air.
We then scored again through Ben Jones pressing the opposition defence, winning the ball and finishing very well one on one. Pressing from the front is something we practice to a great extent in training.
We then scored a long range effort from Charlie Barnett who told me he meant it so that’s good enough for me skipper 👍
All 3 goals coming in 13 minutes to take the game away from Hereford. Second half we kept the ball better but were a little disjointed.
Todays man of the match was Micheal Hayes who’s distribution was excellent and defending was top drawer. Pritch also put in another top performance and has been a outstanding addition to our squad.
Todays win keep us unbeaten in 6 matches and takes us to 8th place with one game in hand. But another pleasing fact was it’s our fourth clean sheet.
We now have a weeks break to hopefully get players fit again and bring in another player which we will do this week.
Well done lads
Saha 1 – Shifnal Town u17s 6
Another good win for the team against a determined Saha side in the rain. Started well with a goal within the first two minutes, quickly followed by another great looping header from Liam, our foot came off the pedal after a silly penalty against and a sin bin just before half time took us down to 10, but we reorganised and got back into the game in the second half, however we went down to 10 men again after about 15 mins in to the second half for a sending off this time but still went on to finish another 4 goals. Great hat trick for Liam Bullock and a well taken goal from Aron. Another well run midfield performance captained by Alfie. Onto the next one.
Shifnal Town u16 4 – Solihull Moors u16s 1
Managers Match Report
The first half today was very frustrating as we played a team who played the ball long every time and left a foot in on every single tackle.
We went behind after a soft foul that led to a corner from which they scored. But then quickly replied after a nice passage of play and a good ball from Jake Smith with a great finish from Charlie Carvell to get him off and running for the season. We said once he got one he would start scoring for fun and he doubled his tally soon after to take us in at the interval with a 2-1 lead.
I was extremely unhappy at half time and players knew it. We were extremely sloppy in our passing and were going through the motions against a team players expected to beat. Players just doing enough which people who know me will know I can’t stand.
Second half was excellent we passed the ball like the very good football side we are. We won personal battles and our fitness was at another level.
Josh walker scored a excellent goal to make it 3 then a brilliant individual goal by Ernest Amoo made it 4 -1.
We had lots more chances late on but 5 games unbeaten is a great return.
Mikey Hayes had a good game and Ben Jones was excellent again. But this week my man of the match was Charlie Carvell. He scored two good goals and always works his socks off for the team .
Great lad and player
The only downside to a good performance was Jacob Welch falling heavily on his wrist and having to go to hospital with a suspected broken bone in his hand / wrist. Get well soon Jacob from all the team, top player and lad.
Well done to all the lads
Well done shifnal under 7s today’s wet and muddy game !
Our man of the match Owen
A good draw ⚽️⚽️⚽️
Congratulations to Ethan Clifford on signing his first professional contract with Stafford Rangers yesterday. Ethan has been an outstanding keeper for our team over the last 4 years as well as being our Captain last season. Ethan fully deserves this reward for all his hard work and dedication, a great lad on and off the pitch. The whole team wishes Ethan the best in his new adventure.
Shifnal Town u14s 6 Broseley 1
With the Broseley keeper on form and Shifnal not capitalising the score could have been much different
Shifnal dominated most of the game but couldn’t find the net on numerous occasions
But we didn’t give up and got the 3 points the boys deserved
Shifnal Town u16 0 Aylestone u16 0
Managers Match Report
Today we hosted last years league and cup winners. Our third game of the season against the top 3 sides from last season and I am really happy we remain unbeaten.
Todays preparation was dreadful and I must apologise to the players after real difficulties with the alternative venue for the day.
It was a very even game and a draw was the fair result for both sides in difficult windy conditions. Both teams tryed to play but cancelled each other out.
They only had one clear shot on goal saved excellent by Will Cox. Ben Jones and Morgan Payne having good chances for us.
Second half we had a higher press, had a couple of half chances and were the better side.
We have 5 points from the first 3 games and are unbeaten against the top teams in the league, but for a last minute goal last Saturday we would have 7 points but still a great start.
Really pleased with all the players, my aim in life is to win of course but also to improve every player who plays for me. I think we are in a really good space and last year we only achieved one point from the same fixtures.
But also our squad (not team) is fitter and without being bias we look the best squad of the top 5 last season.
Today Charlie Barnett was excellent and also James Pritchard but today’s man of the match was Ciaran Fallon who defended in front of him excellent won every header and his recovery in behind was outstanding 👍
So massive positives and bring on Kidderminster Harriers next week ⚽️
U12s played well again today and battled hard in tough conditions but ultimately lost 2 nil
Nothing between the 2 teams but NC Utd got the breaks….we go again
Under 16s match report MJPL
Bilbrook u16s 0 – Shifnal Town u16s 1
After a interrupted pre season due to myself, we went to last seasons runners up Billbrook.
A big really physical side who constantly fouled us in the and broke up play.
We had two chances in the first half and they had three but great saves from Will Cox kept us in it.
Second half we dug deep and defended well against there arial bombardment.
There were some negative comments after today’s game but I watch premiership games and every week teams (bar 2) play like we did today, soak up pressure and try to break on the counterattack.
This is what Charlie Carvell did excellent on the 66th minute, crossing the ball for a great finish by the energetic Ben jones.
Today we utilised our squad really well and will need to over the season. Always the result is the thing that matters and we have played better last year and lost!!
So now we move on to Eastwood who finished 3rd last season next week at home. Todays man of the match by a mile was Will Cox who pulled off 6-7 outstanding saves and played beyond his years. He is the best goalie in the league.
Thanks for today to all the lads for our first three points.
Means a lot cheers Miff.
Shifnal Town FC u17s 4 – Meole Brace 2
Another good win for the lads, great disiplined performance from the whole squad against a strong and physical Meole Brace side that never gave up.

Market Drayton 0 – Shifnal Town 5.
Great start to the season today for the lads away. They were solid from the off and played a great passing game with time and composure on the ball. Great game for the two new signings with Mitch having a great game in goal, keeping a clean sheet and Aron making and scoring a goal on his debut. Our captain Alfie was also named man of the match by the ref. A very good team game, who to a man played very well and gave a very respected performance. Dave
Good and bad day at the office for the under 14s
Lost 4-0 to a team who should win the league
Kept them out for 40 odd minutes but we kept battling to the end more than proud of the boys especially with a couple of injuries
Shifnal Town 4 – 0 Bayston Hill
Against a team who we drew 1-1 with last pre season, I have seen massive development from our squad.
On a perfect home pitch we played some excellent football. From defence to attack it was very pleasing on the eye.
Ernest Amoo got in behind to score our first.
We then got in to good wide areas and got some excellent crosses in to the box, creating and missing several chances. James Prichard then won the ball high up the field and fed Ben Jones who finished really well.
Second half Freddie Whiles scored a excellent top corner long range shot and Jack Howse scored a good header from a corner to make it 4-0.
New signing Morgan Payne missed a penalty but was my man of the match for his superb energy and drive, closely followed by Ernest Amoo and Jake Smith.I have never looked forward to a season with these lads as much as this one and if we can improve by the six points needed on last season we can be right there this season.
The squad is big strong and has technically gifted players.
Well done lads. See you Tuesday
Man of the match –
